BIO 26| Visual Identity
The biennial identity takes the topic “Common Knowledge” literally: information is in crisis. Short attention spans, infobesity and an overload of visual content force designers to rethink their role in the information society. BIO 26’s identity questions the design’s representation of the world with an emphasis on form over substance. Manipulating objective facts to the point of beauty, we created cheerful infographics based on real alarming or mundane data about our world.
Infographics put the biennial topics into the context of the media where identity appears. Billboards present truths about visual pollution, promotion materials talk about environmental dangers and Twitter cover informs about the number of fake followers on the platform.
